1999...I was invited by Lenore, Mario's mother, to be by her side for this interview with Henry Alfaro from Channel 7, KABC-TV. When I met Henry, he asked Lenore who I was. Lenore responded, "She's Mario's angel." Henry then started to ask me questions and immediately wanted my story too. I wasn't ready for this, nor was I expecting it. I was depressed, i put on some good amount of weight, and seemed to have aged due to Mario's death. I was in no shape to be on TV at this time, but accepted the offer when asked by Lenore to talk. I had already accepted the job at the Red Cross and met 2 beautiful souls; Jorge Arias (20 years old) and Kyle Rodas (3 years old). I will start to chronicle their journey's.
